Alico is an agribusiness and land management company. As of September 30, 2025, the company owned approximately 49,537 acres of land across eight Florida counties: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, and Polk. Alico also owned approximately 44,700 acres of oil, gas, and mineral rights throughout Florida, holding these rights on substantially all its owned acres and additional mineral rights on other leased acres. The company's principal lines of business are land management and citrus groves. Alico manages its land based on primary usage and reviews performance through two primary classifications: Alico Citrus and Land Management and Other Operations. The Alico Citrus division previously involved planting, owning, cultivating, and managing citrus groves to produce fruit for sale to fresh and processed citrus markets. This included purchasing and reselling fruit, and value-added services like contracting for harvesting, marketing, and hauling citrus. However, the Alico Citrus division has substantially wound down operations after the 2024-2025 harvest due to environmental and financial challenges. The Land Management and Other Operations division includes activities related to grazing and hunting leasing, management and/or conservation of unimproved native pastureland, rock mining royalties, other insignificant lines of business, and owning and/or leasing improved farmland. On January 6, 2025, Alico announced a Strategic Transformation to wind down its Alico Citrus division and focus on a long-term diversified land usage and real estate development strategy. The company presents its financial results based on two business segments: Alico Citrus and Land Management and Other Operations.
