It primarily originates loans structured as senior loans secured by real estate, equipment, cash flows, and licenses and/or other assets of the loan parties to the extent permitted by applicable laws and the regulations governing such loan parties. The company qualifies as a real estate investment trust for federal income tax purposes. It generally would not be subject to federal corporate income taxes if it distributes at least 90% of its taxable income to its stockholders. The company was formerly known as AFC Gamma, Inc. and changed its name to Advanced Flower Capital Inc. in October 2024. Advanced Flower Capital Inc. was incorporated in 2020 and is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
