Acumen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing a disease-modifying approach for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Sabirnetug is a recombinant humanized immunoglobulin gamma 2 (IgG2) monoclonal antibody (mAb) designed to selectively target AßOs. It has shown functional and protective effects in in vitro assays and demonstrated in vivo safety and pharmacologic activity in multiple animal species, including transgenic mouse models for AD. It also demonstrated safety and pharmacologic activity in human AD patients during the Phase 1 INTERCEPT-AD clinical trial, with results announced in July 2023.
