Zoci-Atezolizumab Doublet Hits 81.8% Response Rate in First-Line SCLC
ZLAB sits 43% above its 52-week low of $15.96.
Summary
Zai Lab's DLL3 ADC zoci, combined with atezolizumab and no chemotherapy, produced an 81.8% confirmed response rate in 33 previously untreated extensive-stage small cell lung cancer patients, with a six-month progression-free survival rate of 81.9%. In the 15 patients with at least six months of follow-up, median PFS and median duration of response were not yet reached after a median 10 months, and 66.7% remained progression-free. Safety looks manageable for the doublet: Grade ≥3 zoci-related adverse events in 9.1% of patients, no treatment-related discontinuations and one Grade 1 ILD case. The triplet adding carboplatin showed a higher 92.3% response rate but 76.9% Grade ≥3 TEAEs, reinforcing the chemo-free doublet as the lead regimen. Zai Lab says it is preparing a global Phase 3 of zoci plus an IO regimen in first-line ES-SCLC, alongside the ongoing Phase 3 DLLEVATE study in previously treated disease. The data land the same morning as a $250M private placement priced at $22.04 per ADS, so the equity raise and the clinical readout are hitting the tape together. Formal poster presentation at ESMO is scheduled for October 26, 2026.
