YPF Sociedad Anónima is an energy company primarily focused on oil and gas operations in South America and Argentina. The company's activities span four main segments: Upstream, Midstream and Downstream, LNG and Integrated Gas, and New Energies. In its Upstream segment, YPF explores and develops hydrocarbon fields and produces crude oil and natural gas. The Midstream and Downstream segment handles the refining, transportation, and sale of refined products, petrochemical products, and crude oil. This segment also sells specialized products for the agribusiness industry, including grains and their by-products, fertilizers, and crop protection products, as well as flours, oils, grains, asphalts, naphtha, and petroleum coke. The LNG and Integrated Gas segment transports and sells natural gas to third parties and to the Midstream and Downstream segments. It also separates natural gas liquids, fractionates, stores, and transports them to produce and sell ethane, propane, butane, and gasoline, and develops liquefied natural gas liquefaction capacity. The New Energies segment is involved in power generation activities. YPF was incorporated in 1977 and is headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
