Grayscale Stacks Trust

Grayscale Stacks Trust (STCK) is an investment vehicle that offers investors exposure to STX, the token underlying the Stacks platform, in the form of a security. This structure allows investors to gain exposure to STX without directly engaging in the complexities of buying, storing, and safeguarding the digital asset. The Trust's shares are designed to track the market price of STX, less fees and expenses. STX is a digital asset transmitted through the peer-to-peer Stacks Network, a decentralized network utilizing cryptographic protocols. The Stacks Network facilitates the exchange of STX tokens, which are recorded on a public transaction ledger known as a blockchain. Stacks is described as a Bitcoin Layer-2 solution, enabling smart contracts and decentralized applications on the Bitcoin network. Grayscale Stacks Trust was launched in 2024 by Grayscale Investments, LLC, a digital asset manager founded in 2013. The shares of the Trust are quoted on OTC Markets under the ticker symbol STCK, allowing for continuous trading during the day at market-established prices. While the Trust's objective is for its shares to reflect the value of the STX it holds, less expenses and liabilities, shares have at times traded at substantial premiums or discounts to this value.
