Sonida Senior Living, Inc. is a leading owner, operator, and investor in senior housing communities across the United States, measured by resident capacity. The company and its predecessors have been providing senior housing since 1990. As of December 31, 2025, Sonida owned, managed, or invested in 96 senior housing communities located in 20 states, with a total capacity for approximately 10,150 residents. This includes 84 owned senior housing communities (four of which are owned through joint venture investments in consolidated entities and four through a joint venture investment in an unconsolidated entity) and 12 communities managed for a third-party. Sonida primarily offers residential housing and services to individuals aged 75 years and older. These services include independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Many of the communities provide a continuum of care, integrating independent living, assisted living, and memory care, which can be supplemented by home care from independent agencies. This integrated approach aims to support residents' autonomy and independence based on their physical and cognitive abilities. In a recent development, on March 11, 2026, Sonida completed the acquisition of CNL Healthcare Properties, Inc. (CHP) through a merger, as outlined in the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated November 4, 2025.
