Principal Real Asset Fund

Principal Real Asset Fund (PDSRX) is a continuously offered, closed-end interval fund that aims to provide investors with long-term total return in excess of inflation, enhanced risk-adjusted returns through various economic cycles, and income. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in real assets and real asset companies. This includes both private and public real assets, directly and indirectly through other entities like private institutional investment funds. The fund's investment strategy involves a multi-asset, multi-manager portfolio with exposure to private and public real assets. Its allocations include infrastructure (approximately 15.95% public, 39.73% private), natural resources (approximately 5.37% public, 20.44% private), and real estate (approximately 4.09% public, 14.43% private). The fund also invests in commercial real estate-related securities, primarily commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and other U.S. and non-U.S. real estate-related securities, such as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
