Darolutamide Cuts Metastasis or Death Risk 58% in High-Risk Prostate Cancer Trial
OEC sits 25% above its 52-week low of $4.345.
Summary
Interim Phase 3 DASL-HiCaP data show adding darolutamide to ADT and radiation therapy cut the risk of metastasis or death by 58% versus placebo (HR 0.42) in prostate cancer patients at high risk of recurrence. Four-year metastasis-free survival was 95% versus 88%, with PSA progression risk down 53%. Overall survival data are not mature (HR 0.88, 99% vs 99% at four years), so the benefit so far is disease control, not proven survival. Darolutamide is not yet approved in this earlier setting; it is already approved in more than 85 markets for advanced disease and is developed jointly with Bayer, so any label expansion would be shared economics. The results were presented as a late-breaking abstract at ESMO 2026.
At the time of this announcement, OEC was trading at $5.45 on NYSE in the Life Sciences sector, with a market capitalization of approximately $308M. The 52-week trading range was $4.35 to $8.64.
