We are a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused primarily on developing new medicines to treat heart and metabolism-related diseases. We have two main programs targeting metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and obesity. Our key product candidate, Vanoglipel (DA-1241), is a novel GPR119 agonist. It is being developed as a potential standalone or combination treatment for both MASH and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Vanoglipel (DA-1241) works by activating GPR119 in the gut, which releases important gut peptides like glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), glucagon-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIP), and peptide YY (PYY). These peptides are involved in glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, and weight loss. Preclinical studies have shown Vanoglipel (DA-1241) has positive effects on glucose, lipid profiles, and liver inflammation. In Phase 1a and 1b human clinical trials, Vanoglipel (DA-1241) was well tolerated in healthy volunteers and individuals with T2DM. We started a Phase 2a clinical trial in 2023 to understand its mechanism of action and effectiveness for MASH and to observe trends for T2DM. This was the first human MASH clinical trial for Vanoglipel (DA-1241). We completed the last patient last visit for this trial in November 2024. In December 2024, we announced positive initial 16-week results from the two-part Phase 2a clinical trial in patients with presumed MASH. We presented these initial 16-week results at the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) 2025 in May 2025. In November 2025, we presented further analysis on glucose control in prediabetes and diabetes subjects, along with additional data on inflammation and lipid profiles, at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) The Liver Meeting® 2025. We expect to finalize the Clinical Study Report (CSR) for the Phase 2a clinical trial in the first half of 2026.
