We are a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing, and selling new cancer therapies. Our expertise lies in understanding how cells communicate between their nucleus and cytoplasm. We have identified and are developing and selling new, small molecule compounds that inhibit the nuclear export protein exportin 1 ("XPO1"). These XPO1 inhibitor compounds represent a new class of drugs with a novel mechanism of action that could treat various diseases with significant unmet medical needs. Our primary product, XPOVIO® (selinexor), was the first oral XPO1 inhibitor to be approved for marketing. It received its initial U.S. approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") in July 2019. XPOVIO® is currently approved and sold in the U.S. for specific indications: - In combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone, it treats adult patients with multiple myeloma who have had at least one prior therapy. This approval was based on results from the BOSTON (Bortezomib, Selinexor and Dexamethasone) trial (NCT03110562). - In combination with dexamethasone, it treats adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least four prior therapies and whose disease is refractory to at least two proteasome inhibitors ("PIs"), at least two immunomodulatory agents ("IMiDs"), and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody ("mAb"). This condition is referred to as penta-refractory myeloma. This approval was based on results from the STORM (Selinexor Treatment of Refractory Myeloma) trial (NCT02336815). - It treats adult patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma ("DLBCL"), not otherwise specified, including DLBCL that developed from follicular lymphoma, after at least two lines of systemic therapy.
