General Motors Company designs, builds, and sells trucks, crossovers, cars, and automobile parts, and provides software-enabled services and subscriptions globally. The company's automotive operations serve customers through two segments: GM North America (GMNA) and GM International (GMI). Vehicles are developed, manufactured, and/or marketed under the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC brands. General Motors also holds equity ownership stakes in entities that serve customers in other countries, primarily in China, with vehicles developed, manufactured, and/or marketed under the Baojun, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and Wuling brands. In December 2024, the company announced it would no longer fund Cruise's robotaxi development work and would refocus its autonomous driving strategy on personal vehicles. In February 2025, General Motors completed the acquisition of the noncontrolling interests in Cruise, began to wind down Cruise robotaxi operations, and combined the GM and Cruise autonomous technical efforts within its GMNA segment. The company also provides automotive financing services through its General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial) segment.
