Firefly is a U.S.-based space and defense technology company that provides mission solutions to national security, government, and commercial customers globally. The company focuses on enabling responsive, regular, and reliable launch, transit, and operations in space. Firefly offers differentiated and scalable platforms in Launch and Spacecraft Solutions, both with flight heritage. Within its Launch segment, Firefly has two offerings: Alpha and Eclipse. Alpha is an operational launch vehicle and is the first and only U.S.-based orbital rocket in the 1,000 kilograms class to successfully reach orbit, with five successful launches completed. These launches include responsive space missions. Eclipse, a reusable and scaled-up version of Alpha, is in final development in partnership with Northrop Grumman. Eclipse is expected to deliver 16,000-kilogram payloads to Low Earth Orbit ("LEO") and can access Medium Earth Orbit ("MEO"), Geostationary Orbit ("GEO"), Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO), and Trans-lunar Injection (TLI). Firefly's Spacecraft Solutions platforms include its Blue Ghost and Elytra vehicles, which are highly maneuverable spacecraft utilizing high-performance rocket engine technology. Additionally, this segment includes software and sensor solutions offerings, which were added through the company's recent acquisition of SciTec. Firefly completed an initial public offering ("IPO") of shares of its common stock on August 8, 2025. The company is the only commercial company to achieve a fully successful Moon landing.
