DuPont is a Delaware corporation formed in 2015, formerly known as DowDuPont Inc. It was created to effect the all-stock merger of equals transactions between The Dow Chemical Company and E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, which became effective on August 31, 2017. Following the merger, DowDuPont Inc. aimed to combine the strengths of both companies and then realign assets to create three more focused public companies. On April 1, 2019, the Company completed the separation of the materials science business through the spin-off of Dow Inc. On June 1, 2019, the Company completed the separation of the agriculture business through the spin-off of Corteva, Inc. In 2021, DuPont divested its Nutrition & Biosciences business to International Flavors & Fragrance Inc.
