Biohaven is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and sells treatments in immunology, neuroscience, and oncology. The company became an independent, publicly traded entity on October 3, 2022, following a spin-off from Biohaven Pharmaceutical Holding Company Ltd. (the "Former Parent"), and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "BHVN" on October 4, 2022. In the fourth quarter of 2025, Biohaven initiated strategic portfolio and cost-optimization measures to focus on three key, late-stage clinical programs. These programs include Kv7 ion channel modulation for epilepsy; Molecular Degrader of Extracellular Proteins ("MoDE") and Targeted Removal of Aberrant Protein ("TRAP") extracellular protein degradation for immunological diseases; and a myostatin-activin pathway targeting agent for neuromuscular and metabolic diseases, including obesity. Biohaven holds worldwide rights to substantially all of its product candidates. The MoDE and TRAP degraders are novel bispecific molecules designed to remove disease-causing circulating proteins from the body by directing them to the liver for degradation via the endosomal/lysosomal pathway.
