Acoramidis Cuts Hospitalizations 27% vs Tafamidis in Largest EHR Study
BBIO sits 24% above its 52-week low of $52.75.
Summary
BridgeBio presented new real-world data at HFSA 2026 showing acoramidis (Attruby) reduced the composite of death, hospitalization, new-onset AF, and diuretic intensification by 18% versus tafamidis in a propensity-matched analysis of 2,684 ATTR-CM patients from Epic COSMOS. Hospitalization reductions were even more striking: 27% lower cardiovascular and heart failure hospitalizations, and 25% lower all-cause hospitalization. This is the second independent real-world comparative study favoring acoramidis, following the September 23 claims-based analysis that showed a 34% reduction in clinical worsening. Additional ATTRibute-CM sub-analyses reinforced the narrative: CVH burden strongly predicts mortality, and acoramidis reduced CVH frequency by 50% through Month 30. The data support switching patients from tafamidis and could accelerate Attruby's market share gains in the ATTR-CM space.
