AREC·NASDAQ·Energy & Transportation·CIK 0001590715

American Resources Corp operates through its wholly-owned subsidiary, American Infrastructure Corporation (AIC), which was formerly known as American Carbon Corp and Quest Energy Inc. AIC currently manages six coal mining and processing operating subsidiaries. These include McCoy Elkhorn Coal LLC (doing business as McCoy Elkhorn Coal Company), Knott County Coal LLC, Deane Mining, LLC, Wyoming County Coal LLC, and Perry County Resources. These five subsidiaries are located in eastern Kentucky and western West Virginia, within the Central Appalachian coal basin. The sixth subsidiary is ERC Mining Indiana Corporation (ERC), which operates in southwest Indiana within the Illinois coal basin. The company's initial focus when formed was on constructing and managing combined gasoline, diesel, and natural gas (NG) fueling and service stations, initially in the Miami, FL area. It also aimed to build conversion factories for NG to liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG), and factories to retrofit vehicles in the United States to run on NG, alongside convenience stores at each location. On February 7, 2017, control of the company transferred to Quest Energy shareholders following a Share Exchange Agreement executed on January 5, 2017, making Quest Energy a wholly-owned subsidiary. Quest Energy changed its name to American Carbon Corp on November 25, 2020, and subsequently to American Infrastructure Corporation on December 27, 2024.
